Our system calculates each milestone by counting backward in calendar days from your target wedding date. This ensures accuracy across month boundaries and leap years.
Destination Weddings: Save-the-Dates are sent 270 days prior, Formal Invitations 84 days prior, and the RSVP cutoff is 49 days before the wedding.
Local Weddings: Save-the-Dates are sent 210 days prior, Formal Invitations 49 days prior, and the RSVP cutoff is 28 days before the wedding.
Destination weddings require guests to arrange flights, accommodations, passports, and time off work. The extended 270-day save-the-date window gives guests ample time to book travel at better rates and coordinate logistics.
The RSVP cutoff is also earlier (49 days vs 28 days) to allow the couple to finalize venue catering numbers and travel arrangements with greater certainty.
Yes. All of your data — including your wedding date, wedding type selection, and full guest list with RSVP statuses — is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This means your information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
Your progress is automatically saved every time you make a change, and will be restored when you return to this page on the same browser. Clearing your browser data will remove this information.
Absolutely. The "Guest / Household Name" field accepts any label you choose. You can enter individual names (e.g., "Sarah Johnson") or household names (e.g., "The Johnson Family").
Each entry has three status options: 🟡 Waiting (no response yet), 🟢 Confirmed (attending), and 🔴 Declined (not attending). You can change a guest's status at any time and it will update instantly.

Similarly, switching between Local and Destination wedding types will instantly recalculate all three milestones while preserving your guest data. Everything updates in real time.
Each guest row in the tracker table has a "Remove" button on the right side. Clicking it will permanently delete that guest from your list. This action cannot be undone.
If you need to start fresh, the "Clear All" button above the table will remove every guest entry at once. You will be asked to confirm before all data is deleted.
Yes. The entire application is fully responsive and optimized for screens ranging from 320px (small phones) up to 4K desktop monitors. The layout adapts using CSS Flexbox and Grid with relative spacing units.
On narrow screens, the timeline cards stack vertically, the guest table scrolls horizontally if needed, and all controls remain accessible. Your data syncs across the same browser regardless of device size.
